House Rules
We consider it important as a practice that you, as a patient, are informed about what we can expect from each other. Most points are self-explanatory, but we ask you to carefully read the following house rules.
1. Appointments
We only work by appointment. Appointments can be made at the reception desk, by phone, or via email.
2. Dental pain/emergencies
In case of dental pain or emergencies, please contact us as soon as possible by phone. We will try to assist you on the same day.
3. Recall reminder
If no follow-up appointment has been scheduled for the biannual check-up, you will receive a reminder by mail or email. This applies only to the check-up appointment with your dentist. It is a free service, and no rights can be derived from it. It remains your own responsibility to make an appointment on time.
To ensure timely availability, we recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment at the reception desk during your visit.
4. Appointment reminders
You will receive a reminder of your appointment via SMS. If you have multiple appointments on the same day, you will only receive a notification for the first appointment of the day. If your email address is on file, you will also receive an appointment confirmation when the appointment is scheduled. This is a free service, and no rights can be derived from it. Not receiving an SMS/email does not mean your appointment will not proceed.
5. Late arrival to the appointment
If you arrive late for your appointment, there is a possibility that the treatment cannot be completed as planned or may be canceled due to the resulting time constraints.
6. Missed appointments
If you are unable to attend an appointment, please notify us by phone/e-mail at least 24 hours in advance. If you fail to cancel an appointment or do so late, you will be charged for the time reserved for you.
If you are unable to attend your appointment due to illness, please notify us by phone/e-mail on the same day between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM. You may also email us the evening before so that we can process it promptly in the morning. If you have mild symptoms, you may still attend your appointment as we are adequately protected. If in doubt, please contact us.
Our schedules are divided into 5-minute blocks, and we have a fine policy of €5 per 5 minutes, with a minimum of €15 and a maximum of €60 for dentist appointments. For missed appointments with the dental hygienist/preventive assistant, the first occurrence will incur a charge of €30, and subsequent occurrences will be €40.
In the case of repeated missed appointments or late cancellations, we reserve the right to remove you as a patient from our practice.
7. Payments
Payments are processed through the billing company Infomedics. You will receive the bill digitally or by mail. You can indicate your preference at the reception desk. For any questions regarding your bill, please contact Infomedics. Visit their website at www.infomedics.nl. You can also make payment directly at the reception desk, where we only accept PIN payments.
You can always ask us to provide you with a cost estimate. We can check with ZorgSom for an indication of your health insurer’s reimbursement, but ultimately, you are responsible for this.
8. Updating information
You are responsible for notifying us of any changes in your information (such as a change of health insurer, address, email, or phone number). You are also requested to inform us of any changes in your health and medication. This is important for your safety and treatment planning. You can do this in person at the practice, by phone, or via email.
9. Your belongings
You are responsible for safeguarding your own belongings. We are not liable for any damage, theft, or loss of your belongings. It is advised not to leave your belongings unattended.
10. Theft, vandalism, and aggression
For the safety of both you as a patient and our staff, our practice has security cameras in public areas. In case of theft, vandalism, verbal or non-verbal aggression, we reserve the right to remove you as a patient. We will always report theft, vandalism, and other serious unwanted behaviors to the police.
