The performance includes (re)assessing and documenting the current situation of the gums (periodontal status), checking oral hygiene, removing the plaque and tartar present, smoothing and polishing root surfaces of teeth (root planing), polishing the teeth or molars, providing instruction and information on the current situation of the patient’s teeth.
