Extensive flap surgery, per sextant (one-sixth part)
Loosening the mucosa, cleaning root surfaces, smoothing and polishing root surfaces of the teeth (root planing), correcting the bone edge, bonding the gums (gingiva) and mucosa (mucosa), mechanical cleaning and disinfection of a wound (wound toilet) and instructing the patient.
Including preparation of practice room, anesthesia and instruction/information on oral hygiene, vestibulum floor carried out simultaneously (if necessary).
With inflamed pockets, after initial periodontal treatment deeper than 6 mm, in combination with one or more of the complicating factors below:
- loss of adhesion of more than 4 mm;
- furcation diseases;
- irregularity of the bone edge (angular defects);
- particular anatomical structure of the gingiva;
- deviating tooth position.
